Safety & Operations Director – Missoula

Energy Partners is recruiting a full-time position for an Operations & Safety Director.  The primary role of this position will be to ensure and enforce all safety policies, regulations, and compliance procedures pertaining to the propane industry.  This position will work directly with the General Manager along with each Branch Manager in the planning and supervision of the operations at each location, which includes, but not limited to, managing product distribution, storage, fleet maintenance and repairs, and all DOT compliances.

➢ Build and maintain our Safety program for Energy Partners. This includes conducting monthly safety meetings, leading our safety committee, and maintaining all safety records.
➢ Cultivate and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
➢ Be familiar with company policies, rules, regulations, procedures, and adhere to Energy Partners Handbook.
➢ Oversee, monitor, and enforce all company policies and procedures.
➢ Must demonstrate honesty, integrity, confidentiality, dependability, and flexibility along with initiative and motivation to organize and complete tasks.
➢ Perform duties and assignments, and conduct self in such a manner as to reflect good credit on Energy Partners.
➢ A professional appearance is important along with excellent skills in customer relations with the ability to work as a team member.
➢ Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
➢ Attend monthly board meetings and present Safety Report to our Board of Directors.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

➢ Help support and maintain all fuel distributions and fuel inventory logistics.
➢ Work directly with each Branch Manager to maintain all company fleet vehicles.
➢ Responsible for maximizing the efficiency and profitability of propane operations.
➢ Develop and implement strategies, procedures, and business plans needed to enhance company growth.
➢ Available to travel within the company's region and at times travel for specific training.
➢ Must have a strong safety focus with the ability to lead by example.
➢ Exceptional work ethic with the ability to successfully communicate.
➢ Ensure safety compliance for the company and implement all safety policies and procedures.
➢ Plan and execute all monthly safety meetings for each branch location.
➢ Oversee all CETP training and certifications for the company.
➢ Ensure all DOT regulations, guidelines, and laws are followed.
➢ Establish and oversee all DOT training and development.
➢ Performs any other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Special Requirements

Education/Experience Requirements

➢ High School Diploma/GED
➢ Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or 5 years plus experience in Operations Management, preferred
➢ Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and One Drive
➢ Valid Driver's License
➢ Class A/B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, preferred
➢ Propane Experience, preferred
